Bring Me Brights

Maybe it’s a side effect of sitting looking out at grey days this week but all I seem to do on Pinterest at the moment is post images of bright clashing colours.

Bring Me Brights

Maybe it’s a side effect of sitting looking out at grey days this week but all I seem to do on Pinterest at the moment is post images of bright clashing colours.

January is not yet done and I’m already yearning for ways to work some intense colour shots into my wardrobe. A remedy for a strain of sartorial SAD perhaps?

I seem to be drawn like a moth to flame to pictures posted by personal style bloggers of clashing reds and pinks, zingy oranges, luscious greens and the brightest of blues. I’m currently blaming this Mulberry campaign, The Glitter Guide Tumblr and its founder, Taylor Sterling of Sterling Style, Atlantic Pacific, The Blonde Salad and Jessica from What I Wore – all brightness bringers of the highest order!

The more I see the more I resolve to bring in some zing. I’m such a muted neutrals girl by default and really want to break out of that safety net this spring. Watch this space. Meanwhile, in the interests of bringing Pinterest direct to the blog, here’s my mood board for the coming season….
