Blog girls gone wild

After work, i had friday night plans to attend the indie industries art show and then go out for drinks. i decided it was the perfect opportunity to wear the vintage jacket my friend gave to me earlier in the week.

This jacket is certainly not my typical style, but i was so drawn to it for many reasons. the color popped. the pattern was interesting yet clean. and the sheen made the pattern stand out and the color so bold! i had to wear it!

Fortunately, san francisco weather is perfect for layering without worrying too much about freezing without a coat. and so it was decided. i would wear the fun orange jacket for what i hoped to be a fun night. i added the grey knee highs just to guarantee a little extra warmth. i swear i have no circulation, so i'm always cold.

After stopping by the art show, i met up with some lovely style bloggers with boyfriends in tow for a drink in downtown san francisco at minx bar. i loved how the tiny place is set up like a sitting room - sofas, chairs and coffee tables in groups around the room. we managed to squish four girls and five guys onto a love seat, three chairs, and a stool. it was cozy.

As conversations continued, glasses were repeatedly emptied, filled, and emptied again. after a little 'loosening up,' we had a brilliant idea to make a trip over to north beach. some of you may know its reputation. if not, thank goodness for google. anyway, i'll stop it there and let your imaginations run free. let's just say, the next day all my dollar bills were gone, and i smelled of perfume that was not my own.

If you get the chance to meet the gals of the sf bay area who have blogs, you'll soon realize, we are far from the 'social cripples' sfist referred to us when talking about the blogger meet-up we had last fall. we're always up for meeting new people and having a night out, so don't be shy if you want to say hello!
